This is nice to have for someone like me, me and hubby love to go camping and hiking couple of times in a year. It is difficult to walk around wit huge bottles of water on your back, and water bottles have lot of weight. Getting clean water on hiking routes and camping sites is little tricky as some have but most don't. Also it is fun to connect with nature and we like to drink fresh water from streams. The Acquapura water filter straw really comes in handy.
It is light and compact so carrying it along while camping and hiking is easy. Using it is easy and convenient. Just attach the prefilter to bottom and then use the filter as straw and suck up water either through stream or from bottle. It is easier to fill up bottle with stream water and drink though that with the filter. What is really great is that it has shell life of 3 years and if you use frequently then till 1500l it will provide clean drinking water and that existing consumables need to be replaced can be bought from their amazon store. For us this will wok for 3 years easily for camping and hiking trips. They provide extra filters to change in the prefilter and backwash device like injection to clean the prefilter.
