Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea Review

I have been on weight loss journey for about a year and slowly have moved towards healthy diet and lifestyle. I started drinking Green Tea after reading lot about its health benefits and it was also an alternative to cut down on my caffeine from coffee. I have tried a lot of brands and still keep experimenting different brands and flavors but never tried the Matcha Green Tea. I was excited when I was contacted by Life & Food Inc. to try their product Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea for my honest review and I am very happy with the product.

About the Product

Midori Spring's Ceremonial Gold Matcha - is a ceremonial grade (premium) green tea used for brewing the finest most flavorful drinking tea you'll ever taste. This is NOT a cooking grade powder (although it can be used for cooking if you prefer), the quality is so high that it is primarily reserved for tea ceremonies for it's full flavor, and health benefits.

Rich, smooth and creamy with a hint of sweetness when brewed traditionally.

This premium product is Ceremonial Grade and is Organic (USDA, JAS) and Kosher (OU) Certified

We only select the best raw material from our tea gardens mostly from Aichi and Kagoshima in Japan and maintain the highest standards in production.
Our Matcha has a fresh, sweet, green-vegetable-like aroma
The colour is a vibrant emerald green
Only high quality Ceremonial Grade Matcha encompass these features. You can enjoy Midori Spring's Ceremonial Gold Matcha the traditional way by brewing or you can create your own Matcha inspired recipe. Whichever style you choose to have your Matcha, you can experience the many health benefits it has to offer since Matcha is a Superfood.
The enhanced packaging is formulated to maintain optimal freshness and to provide effortless handling. The Matcha is stored in a food grade tin and sealed with a pull top and lid. Once the pull top is removed, the Matcha should be stored in the fridge with the lid on to maintain freshness and eliminating the nuisance of the bag.

There are many immediate and long term health benefits when consuming Matcha, which include:

  • Increase in energy without the jitters
  • Helps reduce stress
  • Improves mental alertness
  • Improve metabolism and help with weight loss
  • Boost immune system and reduce inflammation
  • Helps the body cleanse of harmful elements.
Give back to your health and embrace the power of Matcha.

Review

I have to admit when first the Matcha Green Tea arrived in mail I was surprised to see that it was in small tin container with pull top lid, not like the usual packaging I have seen for tea. I later found that this enhanced packaging helps maintaining the freshness of the green tea. The tea powder is of vibrant green and fresh aroma. Though you need to be careful while opening the lid as it can spill a bit. I read the instructions for brewing the matcha green tea and made the tea but with steel whisk, unfortunately did not have bamboo whisk in the kitchen. I prefer the traditional method of brewing this and I found that the tea tends to clump so it is important to whisk it briskly, until you get a nice foam. The taste is great not too bitter considering it is matcha green tea but I do add honey or stevia to sweeten it a bit. I have also tried a variation of adding it to my protein smoothie after my workout at gym and it turned out good. I have been drinking this for this for two weeks now and definitely feel more energetic and refreshed. The price is bit on high side, $24.97 for 1.06 oz, but considering the high quality and all the health benefits it provides I suppose it is trade off.
